Common Installation & Operation Issues
When installing in Europe and the US, the control cabinet space is extremely tight. The XL3's card-type design saves space, but we're worried about insufficient room for wiring. Any practical solutions?
Detach the XL3's terminal block and wire it separately on a workbench, then snap the block back onto the controller. Use a slim DIN rail bracket and mount the XL3 vertically to cut horizontal space by half compared to horizontal mounting.
Our factory in Southeast Asia has high humidity, especially during typhoon season when condensation is bad. The XL3 often has unstable communication after a few weeks of use. How to fix this?
Never mount the XL3 at the bottom of the cabinet where condensation builds up. Install it on the upper half instead and use a small dehumidifier or industrial desiccant packs. Route communication cables separately from power cables and wrap connectors with waterproof tape.
When commissioning at a European customer's plant, their electrician refused to power on the XL3 because it only has CE certification, not UL certification as required. What should we do?

Our packaging line in Mexico uses the XL3, but it keeps shutting down randomly due to grid voltage fluctuations. It works again after a reboot, but it's killing our production efficiency. How to prevent this?
Add a small voltage stabilizer or surge protector to the XL3's power supply. Use a wide-input-voltage stabilizer that works with both 110V and 220V grids. Separate the XL3's power terminals from the main power lines of production equipment.

Ensure both devices use the same protocol (Modbus RTU is recommended). Double-check that baud rate, station number, data bits, stop bits, and parity are identical. Confirm RS485 wiring: A to A, B to B. For distances over 100 meters, add terminal resistors at both ends.
Overseas customers complain that they can't install the XDPPro programming software on their computers. Most of them use English or Linux systems. What's the fix?
Download the English version of XDPPro from XINJE's official overseas website—it supports all English Windows versions and has a Linux-compatible build. Turn off antivirus software before installation as some programs flag the software's drivers as suspicious.
